Navy Getaways RV Pk Pt Mugu at Laguna Road, Naval Air Station Point Mugu, California.

A hidden Gem, If you have base access. RV parking on the beach. Hotel behind RV , but not more than 50yds from the beach. Leave you sliding door open and you can hear the waves in the beach.
One very unlikely problem. It is a wildlife refugee. But my dad was a SEABEE, me a Marine. So I've been going to Mugu since the 70's. I have seen 1 Pacific Rattlesnake. So that's 40 years, only one snake.
But you can see dolphins and the lagoon has a sea lion population. During the whale migration
I have seen whales breaching out in the ocean.
As for the hotel. EXCELLENT!!!! Staff will bend over backwards to assist you.
Back to the lagoon, I'm not positive, but believe it's one of the last natural lagoons on the west coast.
New as of last year, Round bungalows. A friend stayed and thought of is as a luxury camp out.
A very relaxed location.

Sadly I can't recommend Mugu for multiple reasons for long term RV'ers
To start, no monthly rates, same price as nightly campers--first RV park I've seen with no monthly rates:=; it's $1200 month!. New rate emailed to me less than a week before moving over to Mugu, so I was hit with a 300 dollar increase and no apology, pay it or go off base. What happened to the base being best rate in town? Then to add insult, the laundry has sucked since I've been going there (six months), maybe two working washers on a good week, and one good dryer, the other one just steams your clothes. Internet is not usable and no cable connection. Don't get me wrong, the park has working 30 amp electric and sewer connections, but for $1200/month, I can go to Ventura RV park which seems like Disneyland for same price. RV spots are old school straight back in so you end up driving in your neighbor across the street RV space trying to back in a bumper pull--I've been towing same trailer for 8 years and it takes every ninja skill I possess to get my trailer in after 25 minutes of spirited arguing with my spotter to back the trailer close enough to the utilities to call it good.
Access to the beach can't be beat, that's a good attraction for the weekenders--I love the view, but for snowbirds this is definitely out of their budget.
This seems a great place to park your RV or trailer for a night or two at $40 a night, but man that adds up quick.
The camp host is super cool and takes great care of the place and the campers.
Please offer a monthly rate and quit thinking it's a great value for the location, that's just not right....
